Nestled in the heart of the Golden Triangle, where Thailand, Laos, and Burma converge, lies a paradise that is the Four Seasons Tented Camp. This exquisite property justifies its nightly rate starting from $2,000 with its impeccable service, sophisticated aesthetic, and unique experiences — including daily breakfasts with elephants.

Set amidst rolling hills that it shares with an elephant reserve, it's not unusual to spot majestic Asian Elephants grazing in the pastures from the comfort of your room. Whether you arrive by boat or car transfer, you're instantly enveloped in the opulent ambiance characteristic of a world-class safari camp.

The property maintains an intimate setting, boasting only fifteen tents and a solitary two-bedroom lodge. A serpentine walking trail adorned with a sky bridge connects the main restaurant, spa, guest tents, and bar. For those who prefer to limit their walking, vintage Land Rovers are readily available throughout the property to transport guests.

Undeniably, one of the primary attractions of this tented camp is the elephants. Although riding the elephants is no longer allowed, these rescued gentle giants are an integral part of the property's experiences. Every morning at the main restaurant, Nong Yao, guests enjoy the unique opportunity to feed bananas to a pair of elephants.

Beyond the breakfast, each stay includes a "My Elephant and I" experience. Guests donned in denim outfits with sashes and shoes are invited to join the herd on an intimate walk through the elephant sanctuary.

While paying a few thousand dollars per night for safari tent accommodations might initially seem excessive, the amenities provided justify the expenditure. Each tent is equipped with modern conveniences such as ice-cold air conditioning and strategically placed electrical outlets. For those seeking a touch of luxury, all the deluxe category tents feature a large outdoor soaking tub with full temperature control.

The Explorer's Lodge, the property's most luxurious accommodation, offers two tastefully designed bedrooms, common areas, and a private pool. Ideal for families or groups of friends, this suite commands a higher price, typically around $5,000 a night.

Off-property excursions provide an array of activities, from exploring temples and gardens to hiking and city tours. A popular choice is the colors of Chiang Rai tour, featuring the mesmerizing Wat Rong Khun — the white temple.

For those preferring to stay within the property, there's no shortage of entertainment. Options range from cooking classes, private dining with elephants, fishing lessons, wine and cheese tastings, to unwinding at the Burma Bar during sunset. And of course, indulging in a trip to the spa is a must.
