Who is a good fit for the LuxRally Travel team?We are looking for driven individuals who are ready to make money and have a natural talent for sales. You don’t need prior sales experience to join us—if you can prove you’re a natural-born hustler, we want to hear from you. That said, individuals with prior sales experience often excel in this role. Professionals such as mortgage brokers, car dealers, jewelers, IT salespeople, concierges, hotel sales managers, medical or pharmaceutical sales reps, top-producing real estate agents, and timeshare salespeople tend to thrive because they understand the value of their networks and know how to advocate for clients when working with vendors. We’re also particularly interested in individuals with extensive networks that cater to upper-middle-class and affluent clientele, as well as those with a passion for travel, especially luxury travel and fine dining. If this sounds like you, we’d love to have you on our team!

It has over 15 hours of videos and large amounts of text. You could get it done in one week if you diligently dedicated time to learning the material each day. Existing agents can choose to skip directly to the practical exam. Your Practical Exam (Required): You have one week to take your first practical exam upon completing the Industry Course. The Practical Exam lasts for 3-5 hours as multiple students will take turns with the role play. Your role-play will last for 15-20 minutes. We require you to stay throughout the exam to hear the role play and instructor feedback for other students. Each student will receive a different scenario. Our VP of Sales administers the exams and provides thorough, practical feedback. You have three attempts to pass your practical exam. If you fail on your first attempt, you may retake it the following week. The Systems Course (Required): You have 14 days to complete this course. It has over 2 hours of videos and large amounts of text. You could get it done in 1-2 days if you diligently dedicated your waking hours to the course. You can expect to become an agent within 2-6 weeks, depending on how quickly you complete the teachable and whether you pass your practical exam on the first attempt. Upon graduation, you must complete our Orientation, which is self-guided and may take 1-2 hours, depending on how many logins you decide to create.
-
Do I need anything specific to become a travel agent? From a practical standpoint, you will need a solid computer (preferably with multiple screens), a smartphone, and a current job that allows you to interrupt your day to handle issues for traveling clients. This is a 24/7/365 career. While you will not be working all of the time, clients need to be able to reach you if they experience an emergency while on a trip.
-
What is the difference between a travel agent and a travel advisor? There is no real difference; however, travel advisor is often the preferred term for those in the luxury sector.
-
Do I need to get my own leads? The short answer is that you will be responsible for getting your own leads and must cultivate a stable source of clients to earn six or seven figures as a Luxury Travel Agent. That being said, we have just launched our FastTrack program. FastTrack gamifies our leads program through a unique credit system, rewarding successful deals with additional credits and providing opportunities to earn more through various tasks. Credits are redeemed for leads. If an agent runs out of credits (because they did not close any leads), they can earn credits through various tasks or wait for their quarterly replenishment. Credits cannot be bought by agents. The Credits system is created to ensure agents with solid close rates work the leads and that agents with low closing rates do not take large quantities of leads. Participating in FastTrack is currently invite only. The program has completed it's pilot and has begun rolling out to other agents as of May 6th, 2024. We are expanding the program to make it accessible to all agents. Agents who score high on their final exam are more likely to be invited into the FastTrack program.
-
Do I need to make my own travel brand to be successful? No, creating your own travel brand is not required for success, and in fact, we recommend against it. Establishing a separate brand can confuse clients and dilute your efforts. Instead, we encourage you to leverage the LuxRally Travel brand, which is already recognized and trusted. We cover this in detail in our Travel Agent Marketing course, which is available after you graduate from our Travel Agent Training program. Your primary goal should be to build personal recognition. If your name is Kevin Smith, for example, you want clients to say, “Kevin Smith is the best travel agent—let me give you his number.” After Graduation and Orientation, You’ll Receive: An @LuxRallyTravel.com email address A personalized landing page (Agent Profile) on our website Access to branded templates for business cards, flyers, and other promotional materials Additional Marketing Support Once you officially become a LuxRally Travel Agent, our marketing team will assist you with creating branded materials to promote your services. Whether you’re sponsoring an event and need signage or need help with a social media post, our team is here to support you every step of the way.
-
What can I earn commission on?Hotel Stays (including groups) Cruises Flights (select flights, not all flights pay commission, you will learn about this in our agent training) Tours Car Service Travel Insurance Rental Cars Private Villas Private Jets Luxury Trains
-
How and when do I get Paid?We offer one of the most competitive commission splits in the industry, ensuring that you keep the majority of your earnings. Here’s how it works: Starting Split: You receive 80% of the commissions earned from your client’s bookings, while LuxRally retains 20%. Higher Split for Top Earners: After earning your first $100,000 in commissions within a calendar year, your split increases to 90%/10%, meaning you keep 90% of what you make. Annual Reset This structure resets each year. At the start of a new year, your split returns to 80%/20% until you reach $100,000 in commissions, at which point the 90%/10% split applies again. This system rewards high performance while giving all agents a fair starting point to maximize their earnings. When to Expect Payments You can expect to be paid 30-60 days after the client completes their travel. This timeline depends on when the hotel or supplier pays us (the host agency). To help you track your earnings, we provide an estimated payment date for all commissions in our CRM. During your training, we will teach you strategies to earn commissions faster, such as booking NET rates, cruises, flights, and other options. Please note that commissions are not earned on canceled trips. Our training thoroughly covers the process for commission payouts and travel agent accounting.
-
Will I be a fully licensed travel agent after completing the LuxRally Travel Agent Training Program?Yes, after completing our training and orientation, you will be fully licensed under our host agency with all IATA and Seller of Travel licenses required.

What is the LuxRally Travel Agent Portal (CRM and FastBook)? The LuxRally Travel Agent Portal is your comprehensive one-stop shop for managing clients, making bookings, tracking performance, and handling accounting tasks. Instead of juggling multiple systems, our portal centralizes all the essential tools you need to be a successful travel agent. Key Features: Dashboard: View key statistics, including your performance metrics, top clients, and top vendors. FastBook Booking Platform: Make bookings directly in the portal with rates from Sabre/GDS, benefit-inclusive rates, publicly available rates, and NET rates. Access over 10 wholesalers, including Expedia, HotelBeds, and Rate Hawk. Commission Sliders: Easily adjust commissions on NET rates up or down. (Policy note: Adjustments must not increase the total price beyond what the client could book independently; this would be considered a “fee.”) Hotel Lists: Search and compare rates across multiple hotels based on your custom preferences, such as “Hotels With Benefits in Rome” or “Luxury Maldives.” Shared Agency-Wide Lists: Agents can create and share lists with the entire agency. For example: David Eisen, our founder, has curated lists for luxury destinations worldwide, accessible to all agents. Deahne Anderson, our Director of Groups, has created lists of budget-friendly options around the globe. Collectively, our agents have shared hundreds of lists, helping to quickly narrow down reputable options in any market. Quick Invoicing: FastBook automatically generates invoices for bookings made through the platform, saving you time. For bookings outside of FastBook, our Quick Invoicing tool allows you to create invoices in minutes. Agent Analytics: Dive deeper into your performance metrics over time. Client Relationship Management (CRM): Manage client profiles, send information directly to hotels, store payment details, and generate secure credit card authorization forms. Accounting Portal: Oversee invoices, match and track commissions, and manage collections for unpaid commissions. Leads Program: Claim leads and track your performance. The Leads Program is currently invite-only but will be expanding significantly in Q2 2025 to accommodate more agents. Future Enhancements: By Q3 2025, FastBook will also include cruise, air, car transfers, and tour booking capabilities. Our portal is designed to minimize your administrative workload, freeing you to focus on client relationships and sales. Since it’s developed in-house for travel agents, by travel agents, we continuously improve the platform based on agent feedback, ensuring it evolves to meet your needs.
