The Andaz Condesa Mexico City was built on the grounds of an old hacienda known as “El Quintanal de Los Condes” or “House of the Counts,” which was first established in 1880 by Maria Elena Cuevas y Torornellas, one of the last descendants of Spanish colonial nobility in Mexico. In 2017 the hacienda underwent extensive refurbishment to become what is now one of the most luxurious hotels in all of Mexico City.
